Police release sketches in young man's murder

Posted

Detroit Police have released new sketches of two men believed to be behind a deadly shooting on Saint Aubin Street on November 28th.

Crime Stoppers is now offering a $2,500 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

Family members say 18-year-old Wilon McRae was with friends the morning of the 28th when he was shot and killed.

Police say the two men confronted McRae, flashed a gun and demanded money. When he started to run, they shot him.

McRae was a senior at Dearborn High School, who loved basketball and wanted to have a career in construction.

His mother referred to his killers as "the devil." She's hoping these sketches will generate new tips.

McRae's funeral is Thursday morning at Greater Bethlehem Temple in Inkster.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account.
