DETROIT (WXYZ) — The family of 40-year-old Stanley Allen was back on Robinwood Street near Van Dyke this afternoon trying to figure out why the father of 9 was killed.
It was 8:30 last night that a pickup pulled up and Stanley walked up to talk with the driver. He was shot several times and killed.
The family says the gunman ran off, leaving the truck behind and evidence including shell casings were found inside.
Stanley Allen, Senior says he’s live in this neighborhood since the 1970s and raised his son here.
The family says his kids range in age from young adult to just one-yea- old. The mother of 4 of the kids, Michelle Jones says she’s having a tough time understanding why this happened and talking with the kids.
Walter Walker is Stanley’s brother and says he didn’t deserve this.
