The day before an accused killer goes to court, the child he allegedly killed was laid to rest.
Loved ones of 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell gathered inside Second Ebenezer Church Wednesday afternoon for funeral services for the boy who Detroit Police have said was killed because he picked up $70 that a man dropped outside a liquor store on Detroit's east side.
Pastor Maurice Hardwick from the Live in Peace movement presided over Mitchell's services.
