A small dog found living in a vacant commercial building has been caught and is safe tonight.
7 Action News Reporter Ronnie Dahl and photographer Derrick Lee came across the dog while looking for illegal scrappers.
When they tried to catch the dog, he kept running away.
Mike Diesel with Detroit Youth and Dog Rescue set a trap for the dog, which appears to be a terrier/Chihuahua mix. It took several days, but the dog was finally caught!
The dog, named Gunner the Runner, was taken to a vet to be checked out. He was given a clean bill of health and is now staying with a foster family.
