Many parents are relieved and happy to be home with their kids after a local school was placed on lockdown while police tracked down home invasions suspects nearby.
The corner of Central and Pitt on Detroit’s southwest side was swarming with police activity after officers arrested the three suspects near Harm’s School.
The incident started on Detroit’s west side on Westwood, when the three intruders broke into a person’s home.
The victim scared the intruders away. They escaped in a black Nissan Altima with Florida plates.
A description of the car was put out on the radio and nearby officer spotted the car.
When that officer tried to pull the suspects over, the car sped off into Dearborn. Police followed the car into Dearborn and into southwest Detroit.
Once they arrived at Central and Pitt, the men tried to run but were caught.
They are now in police custody.
