Michigan's largest bike ride, the Tour de Troit presented by Flagstar Bank, returns to Detroit on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015.
This is the 14th year for the fundraiser. Cyclists from around the world are expected to participate.
The event will begin and end in Roosevelt Park, located at 2200 Michigan Ave. in Downtown Detroit.
The 62-mile Metric Century ride will begin at 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.. The 30-mile ride will get underway at 9 a.m. Both will travel through Detroit neighborhoods and past historical landmarks in the city.
The aim of the annual bike ride is to raise public awareness about the benefits that cycling brings to local communities, while raising funds to support the expansion of the Greenways network in Detroit and all of Southeastern Michigan.
