In a span of about 24 hours, Grady Barrett allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, kidnapped her young daughter, and led police on a wild high-speed chase that went from Detroit to Ohio and back to Detroit where it ended in a crash.
Barrett is facing multiple charges including assault and child abuse. And Friday, 36th District Court Judge Kenneth King found that there was sufficient evidence to order Barrett to stand trial.
Barrett, 42, listened to his ex-girlfriend testify, describing how she says Barrett punched and choked her one summer night before he allegedly went to her relative's house and kidnapped her two-year-old daughter while armed with a machete.
