Detroit firefighters made a shocking discovery during a house fire on Tuesday morning on the city's west side.
After crews put out the fire in the 22000 block of Santa Maria, near McNichols and Grand River, they found a man's body.
Right now, crime scene investigators are on scene collecting evidence and detectives are going door-to-door to find out any information they can.
Police say the house appears to be a marijuana grow house, but it isn't know if that is connected to the murder.
The body appears to be an adult black man. Police believe someone shot him in the head and then set both the house and garage on fire.
It is expected to take some time before investigators can identify that victim.
