The Detroit police department is asking for the public's help to find a man suspected of setting the home of a 70-year-old woman on fire while his daughter was inside.
The fire was caught on video. It appears a man setting a fire at the side door of a home in the 15400 block of Mansfield. He is then seen going to the front door, where another fire is set.
Police have identified him as 28-year-old Donovan Lyles. He is 5'8" and weighs about 200 pounds. He is bald, with a medium complexion and multiple tattoos.
The victim Princess Watson says her family woke up to the flames outside and rushed out the front door.
She says Lyles 3-year-old daughter was inside the home at the time of the fire.
No one was injured and the house received minor damage. "Anyone that may know him be on alert because of that kind of thinking. You're going to try and burn down somewhere your girlfriend or baby's mother was? You even put your child in jeopardy? He knew Treasure was here," Watson says.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest for arson of an occupied home.
Anyone who knows where he is is asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-2280.
