Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy will host their final Moonlight Yoga session of the summer on Wednesday, August 24.
The session will get underway at 9 p.m. at West RiverFront Park (1801 W. Jefferson, Detroit).
Moonlight Yoga provides a unique twist on yoga classes by providing participants with glowing jewelry and incorporating 16-inch lighted glow batons into traditional yoga poses.
Moonlight Yoga is part of a multi-year partnership initiative between Blue Cross and the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy called Live the Riverfront, which encourages a healthy and active lifestyle through a series of free activities along the riverfront. Other components of Live the Riverfront include Walk the RiverWalk Wednesdays, weekly T'ai Chi and yoga classes, the annual Riverfront Run and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Fit Park along the Dequindre Cut.
