More Good Samaritans, City of Detroit steps in to help a Detroit family duped by their landlord

(WXYZ) — We have an update to a story we first told you on Monday, reminding us to remind renters that you have the right to a safe and sound dwelling.

And to remind landlords who take advantage of their tenants that there are hefty consequences.

As 7 Action News Reporter Andrea Isom explains, some of those penalties come in the form of fines and a heavy weight on your conscience.
