The Federal Aviation Administration said there have been multiple reports of lasers being directed at aircraft heading to Detroit Metro Airport, 7 Action News has learned.
According to the FAA, law enforcement has been "notified of multiple green lasers directed at aircraft." The incidents happened just after 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The FAA said it directs the reports to local law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for follow up investigation.
Airport police say they are working with local and federal law enforcement to investigate the reports.
Pointing a laser at an aircraft is a federal crime.
