DETROIT (WXYZ) — Savant Midtown, a French-influenced diner and cocktail bar, is celebrating its grand opening on Tuesday.

The restaurant's ribbon cutting will be marked with a "caviar bump:" A dollop of caviar placed on the customer's fist, topped with edible gold leaf and served with a shooter of French champagne.

Food prices will be 50 percent off on Savant Midtown's opening day.

The restaurant reportedly offers "high end delicacies and creative molecular cocktails" at an affordable price point.

Some menu items include the Foie Gras Éclair, the Burger Americain and the Croque Monsieur. Breakfast items, including an Escoffier Scramble and Croissant Biscuits and Gravy, are on the menu all day long.

Cocktails have a scientific spin and include a clarified Bloody Mary with horseradish foam and the "In A Snap," featuring tiny green pearls of cocktail caviar, Gin and Benedictine.

The ribbon cutting kicks off at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The restaurant is located on West Forest between Woodward and Cass.
