An off-duty Detroit police officer is not hurt after being shot at on the city's west side.

The incident happened at a party store at Dexter and Davidson.

Police say the officer, who had just spoken to a woman nearby the store, was sitting in his car when someone approached him and opened fire.

The man accused the officer of talking to his sister.

That suspect, who is in his 20s, fired five shots. One pierced the windshield and another hit the car door.

Detroit police are investigating. Officers say they do have a person of interest in custody.
