"I thought my world had ended," says Avria McKelvey.
That's what she felt back on April 13th when she found out her 20-year-old son Zachariah Garrison and his fiance, Angel Careathers had been killed.
The couple were just sitting in their car at Peterson Playfield, each with a sister in the back seat, when police say Robert Chaney sped down Pickford, lost control of his Camaro, went airborne and crashed into a car with 4 people inside.
Zachariah and Angel were killed. 15-year-old Krystal Careathers and 17-year-old Mesiah Garrison were seriously injured.
Kembley Careathers is Krystal and Angel's mom.
"My heart is broken in a million pieces," she says.
"I want justice. You putting everybody at risk. To me it's like walking down the street with loaded gun, poppin' off shots," says Renarldo Garrison, father of Zachariah and Mesiah.
Barry Goodman is representing the victims' families and is anticipating a lawsuit against Chaney.
Meanwhile, both Krystal and Mesiah are out of the hospital and at home recovering from their injuries.
As for Robert Chaney, he has been released on bond, but must wear an alcohol tether. He's been charged with operating while intoxicated causing death.
