A peace rally was held Thursday in memory of a 3-year-old Detroit girl who was shot and killed on Easter Sunday.
Family and friends gathered with local pastors and community leaders at the House of Help Community Center in Detroit to condemn the violence that ended A'naiya Denise Montgomery's brief life.
The child was shot four times while inside her home early Sunday morning on the 16000 block of Riverview Street, near McNichols and Telegraph. A 39-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were also shot, but survived.
Detroit police say they have one suspect in custody in connection with the deadly shooting.
