A 38-year-old Eastpointe man was killed Saturday morning when he was crossing I-375 in downtown Detroit.
According to Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw, the accident happened around 5:35 a.m. in the exit lane to Jefferson Ave. on southbound I-375.
According to MSP, a driver of a Chevy Impala struck the man in the left lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy immediately pulled over and called 911 and was uninjured.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the incident.
