Police: 18-year-old targeted in shooting on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit police are investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old girl on Grandville on on Detroit's west side.
Officers say they were notified about the shooting by Dearborn police, who originally reported the girl had driven herself to Beaumont Oakwood Hospital. Police later said she was taken to the hospital by a friend or family member.
They were able to track the scene to near the girl's grandmother's house, after her mother called the older woman to report that the 18-year-old had been shot.
Police believe the shooting was targeted and not random.
The girl is listed in stable condition.
