Detroit Police are investigating the sudden death of a four-year-old boy on Detroit's west side.
Kameka and Deandre Anderson rushed their son to the hospital late Tuesday morning after they couldn't wake him up.
The child was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. A source tells 7 Action News doctors believe the boy had been dead for about 8 hours.
The parents reportedly told police that the boy was sick Monday night and he was given cough syrup.
The boy did not immediately wake up with his siblings Tuesday morning. Later, when his parents went to get him up, they found him unresponsive.
No arrests have been made and there are no signs of foul play.
An autopsy is set for Wednesday morning.
