Detroit police say they have arrested a second person in the fatal shooting of a mother on Wednesday night on the city's west side.
According to police, 43-year-old Erica Garner was picking up her 11-year-old son from basketball practice on Wednesday near 8 Mile and Ryan.
Police say one suspect shot the woman, who then got out of the car and flagged down a witness who called 911. She later died at the scene.
One suspect, identified as Ralph Anthony Marshall, 17, was arrested shortly after the shooting at a nearby bus station.
Marshall was also involved in a non-fatal shooting and carjacking just four days before.
Police were looking for an 18-year-old suspect in connection to the murder, and said on Friday morning they had arrested Rayvon Smith, 18.
Police said a team of investigators worked together to locate Smith and arrest him without incident.
Marshall is facing multiple charges for the murder, including Felony Murder, Carjacking and Felony Firearm.
