There are security concerns involving River Rouge’s police chief after her Detroit home was shot at.

The investigation is still in the early stages, but Detroit police are now telling me Chief Deborah Price was not the intended target.

But precautions are still being taken to keep the chief safe. River Rouge has sent an officer to keep watch.

The incident happened early Thursday evening, before the deadly shootings in Dallas.

Witnesses say someone drove past Chief Deborah Price’s southwest Detroit home and opened fire, hitting the side of the house six times.

Luckily, nobody was hurt, but the shooter got away.

Detroit police now say the bullets were intended for a neighbor— a guy who recently got out of prison. But the person got the wrong house.

Chief Price doesn’t want to comment yet on the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police.
