Several students were taken to the hospital after a school bus was involved in a crash on Detroit's west side Tuesday morning.

It happened at Braile and Keeler streets, which is just north of Fenkell and east of Evergreen.

Police say several students were shaken up due to the accident and were taken to the hospital to be checked out. According to police, there does not appear to be any serious injuries.

We're told the bus does not belong to Detroit Public Schools, and the bus was taking kids to the Murphy Performance Academy.

There were about 24 kids on the bus. The driver ran a stop sign and hit a minivan, causing the accident. Now, the bus driver will be getting a ticket from police.

The 19-year-old driver of the minivan is still in the hospital.
