DETROIT (WXYZ) — Someone drove right through the windows of the Villa Join the Movement shoe and clothing store in Detroit at Seven Mile and Gratiot early on Friday. They then went inside and grabbed whatever valuables they could.
People from this neighborhood say the theft rate is high and they are fed up.
People out and about in this area say the crime makes them afraid for their own well being. They are thinking of 32-year-old Dale Johnson of Clinton Township who was shot and killed in April near Seven Mile and Gratiot after a dispute over a pair of Jordans.
Anyone who has any information about who is responsible for the smash and grab theft is asked to call Detroit Police.
