Suspect wanted in att. robbery of Detroit bank

Detroit police have released a surveillance photo of a man who they say tried to rob a Detroit bank on Wednesday.

According to police, the man walked into a bank in the 3600 block of Woodward near Mack Ave. in Midtown and approached a teller. He passed a note to the teller demanding money. 

After reading the note, the teller walked away from her window and called 911. The suspect then walked away and fled the location in a green 4-door Jeep Cherokee northbound on Woodward.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 60s, 5-feet-5-inches tall with a thin build, wearing a dark green jacket, green baseball hat, bright red polo shirt and black gym shoes. You can see his photo above.
