DETROIT (WXYZ) — A teen boy was shot in Detroit Thursday evening, police say.
The shooting happened around 6:10 p.m. on Fielding Street near Warren Avenue.

Police say the teen was taken to the hospital and is stable. Investigators were seen bagging up a grey sweatshirt neighbors say he was wearing, which had multiple blood stains visible.
One neighbor says she held the boy until the ambulance arrived and transported him to the hospital.
A neighbor who asked not to be identified said she and others had just gone inside after working in the yard when the shooting happened.
"We had just went into the house after cleaning up our yard and we heard three gunshots," she said.
Moments later, the boy was seen running down the street.
"We come outside, a young guy was running down his street saying he got hit in his arm," she said.
A different neighbor told me a dark-colored Chevy Tahoe pulled up and fired multiple shots at the teen before driving away. Other children were also playing outside in the area at the time.
Police detained multiple teenagers who were outside when the shooting occurred, but they appeared to be uninvolved and were later released.
"It's sad because they need to live their life. They need to grow up. And to see them be getting shot and stuff, it's sad. It's too many of our young guys getting shot out here. Something needs to be done about that," a neighbor said.
