Detroit police are investigating an overnight carjacking. They say two carjackers may still be on the loose.
Four or five carjackers allegedly approached three men who were in a car as it sat in a driveway near Auburn and Midland in Detroit's Rosedale Park neighborhood, on the city's northwest side.
The carjackers were allegedly armed and forced the three men to get out of the car.
Police were nearby and sensed that something was wrong. The carjacking victims saw them and flagged down officers who were able to catch two of the suspected carjackers.
"DPD was on their job, tonight," one of the victims told 7 Action News as a suspect sat in a police cruiser near the carjacking scene.
Police K-9 teams were brought in to help find the suspects and officers recovered weapons they say were used in the carjacking.
