Detroit police are investigating after two children were shot and one was killed Sunday night on the city's west side.
According to police, it's happened on Steel Street which is near McNichols and The Lodge Freeway.
We're told a 7-year-old girl was killed and her 8-year-old friend was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say someone drove up to one of the homes where kids were playing outside and opened fire
It's not clear what caused the shooting, but police believe there was some sort of argument earlier in the day between some of the parents of those children.
Police say Sharonda Benson, who is a person of interest in the shooting, has turned herself in.
