Witnesses describe a wild scene outside a family restaurant on Detroit's east side. Gunshots were exchanged, and at least one child was at a nearby bus stop when this all unfolded Friday night.

It happened outside Zorba's family restaurant on the east side.

Their surveillance cameras captured the fight between two women, squaring up in broad daylight near Gunston and McNichols.

Someone then jumped in and tried macing others.

A woman who didn't want to be identified told 7 Action News, "You just heard gunshots. I think there were at least 8-10."

Soon after, shots are fired, sending everyone running.

This all going down one day before a neighborhood meeting with officers at the restaurant, bridging the gap between law enforcement and residents.

That woman also says, "I was frantic, just frantic. There was a little boy right out there."

The fight was not over yet, witnesses telling 7 Action News someone else came from the side of the restaurant, eventually firing more shots.

A little boy outside by the bus stop ran inside for safety.

Officers were on a nearby street, handcuffing those who could have been involved.

Thankfully, no one was shot, but we're told a man did punch a woman.

Police did arrest one person.
