Woman found safe after going missing on way to Detroit post office

The mother of missing Zainab Muhammad says police tell her she is now safe and being treated at a local hospital.

Zainab Muhammad, 34, was reported missing after she disappeared on Friday, February 24th. Her mother told police Zainab called her around 10 a.m. to say she was on the way from Windsor to the main post office branch on Fort Street in Detroit.

Later Friday night, her mother tried to call Zainab but couldn't get a hold of her.

A few days later, on February 28th, someone turned in Zainab's cell phone to the 3rd Detroit Police Precinct. That person told police the cell phone was found in a field near Grand River and Trumbull.
