Detroit police are investigating after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the city's east side.
According to police, a charcoal grey Dodge Challenger was traveling west on Curtis St. near Indiana St. when hit hit a Nissan Altima at a high rate of speed. The crash then sent the Altima spinning into a nearby home.
The 49-year-old woman driving the Nissan was killed in the crash, and a passenger in the Challenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Challenger took off on foot and has not been found.
