Natalia Muntean, 32, came face-to-face in court today with her husband who is accused of trying to kill her during a two-day ordeal in late March.
Radu Muntean is facing a number of charges including Assault with Intent to Murder. Ajudge allowed prosecutors to add a charge of Torture on Friday.
At her husband's preliminary examination, Natalia testified that it seemed as if he wanted them both to commit suicide before, she says, he shot her in the legs, stabbed her, and put handcuffs on her.
Radu sat quietly in court as his wife detailed what prosecutors believe would have led to her murder, if not for a Grosse Pointe Park police officer who was assigned to a multi-jurisdictional task force investigating stolen cars in the area.
