One Detroit woman who is owed over a thousand dollars finally got her money back after 7 Action News stepped in.
Brenda Jones worked in education for more than a decade. When she got laid off last summer due to budget cuts, she immediately started to look for work again involving children.
She found a company called PLUM that was hiring and placing substitute teachers into classrooms in metro Detroit.
