A 26-year-old man was arrested after police found heroin in his possession on Oct. 2 while he was waiting for his girlfriend to be released from Livingston County Jail.

Jeffery Picklesimer was charged with delivery/manufacture of narcotics less than 50 grams on Oct. 3.

A deputy found Picklesimer "passed out" in the fully reclined driver's seat of a 2003 Buick in the parking lot of the sheriff's office.

Although he told the deputy he was just sleeping while he was waiting for his girlfriend, the deputy searched his car and found several empty bindles of heroin in the car, and five full bindles in his wallet.

Picklesimer's bond is set at $100,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17.
