An alleged drunk driver flipped his SUV on the driveway of a Macomb Township home early Monday morning, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the home on Porta Marina and Sanborn around 1 a.m. Monday, and found a 2016 Ford Explorer flipped on its side on the driveway of a home. there were two men still inside of the SUV.
With the help of the Macomb Township Fire Department, the men, who are both 28 years old and live on Porta Marina in Macomb Township, were pulled from the vehicle.
They were taken to the hospital for treatment but their injuries are not life-threatening.
Witnesses say the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed, and heard wheels screeching before the crash.
According to deputies, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and blood was drawn from the driver at the hospital.
The driver is expected to be charged with Operating While Intoxicated, according to Lt. John Michalke.
