The driver of an SUV that slammed into a car full of teens faced a judge Monday morning.

24-year-old Kyle Kumbo is accused of driving drunk when he slammed into the back of a Lincoln with four people inside.

Fraser police say a 19-year-old man was killed and three other people were injured in the crash that occurred Saturday morning.

According to police, the crash happened around 1:41 a.m. at the intersection of Groesbeck and 14 Mile.

Police say a car with four people inside was stopped at the red light at the intersection when the 2004 Buick SUV crashed into them at a high rate of speed.

According to police, the 19-year-old Roseville High School student who was killed was sitting in the back seat of the car that was hit, and a 20-year-old man also sitting in the back seat is in critical condition. The driver and front passenger of the car are in stable condition.

Kumbo is expected to be back in court for a probable cause hearing on March 30 in Roseville.
