Man arrested in connection with Macomb County break-ins investigated in teen's attempted abduction

A man is behind bars in Macomb County after being linked to nearly a dozen car break-ins.

But police are now trying to figure out if the same man is the person responsible for an attempted abduction of a Saint Clair Shores teenager last week.

We first told you about the rash of break-ins on Rhode Island Street in Clinton Township last Thursday.

Neighbors caught the man on home surveillance video, going door-to-door with a stolen computer, checking unlocked cars.

That man has been arrested, and sources tell 7 Action News another investigation is now underway.

We're told the guy matches the physical description of the suspect in the attempted abduction case in Saint Clair Shores.

A man tried grabbing a 16-year old student on her way to school.

He tried getting her inside his vehicle, but she was able to get away.

We're also told the man had a stolen vehicle, with stolen items inside from three different towns.

Neighbors say he used the stolen credit cards two days in a row at the same store in Roseville. They say a worker there noticed something was wrong and acted immediately. T

hese investigations continue, as police also try and locate anymore potential victims.
