A man has been charged with murder in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left one person dead and two others injured.

He has been identified as Tony Walker

Police say he was one of two larceny suspects on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, two suspects in the larceny in Fraser were going northbound on Kelly at Masonic in a Jeep when they ran a red light and hit a Chevy HHR with the McKechnie family inside.

One of the passengers was killed in the crash, while two other passengers were critically injured.

Fifty-one-year-old Paul McKechnie from Warren was identified as the person killed. Paul and Robbie McKechnie, a 71-year-old woman and 73-year-old man also from Warren, are both recovering in the hospital.

Paul was driving at the time of the crash.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for their recovery.

Both suspects took off after the crash. Walker, who is said to have been driving the Jeep, was found shortly after with the help of a police dog while the police are still searching for the second suspect.

That second suspect has not been identified, he is described as a white man in his 30s to 40s, 5-feet-8 to 6-feet tall, wearing a light colored shirt.

Walker is being held on a $1 million bond.
