The debate continues in Warren, over the enforcement of medical marijuana.
Growers believe they're being unfairly targeted by new proposed changes.
The concerns were expressed at a Warren study group, directed at medical marijuana ordinances proposed by the mayor. Some council members and residents were on hand.
Among other things, the mayor's idea would force medical marijuana to be grown and stored in the city's manufacturing districts or homes of qualifying patients.
Rooms where marijuana is growing would have windows shielded during certain hours.
The goal is to control the spread of this in neighborhoods.
Warren's police chief speaking out tonight, listed crimes at grow areas from one homicide to armed robberies.
They also talked about amending state laws that have to do with selling and making medical marijuana.
Any changes would also force grow sites to register with the city and go through safety inspections. Also growers could only have 12 plants instead of 72.
