Warren police say the mother of an 8-month-old boy who was found dead has been arrested.
According to police, they were called to the home around 4:20 p.m. Thursday on Dequindre to help Warren fire with taking the child to the hospital. We're told it is being called a suspicious drowning.
When the arrived, doctors and medical personnel worked on the child for nearly an hour until he was pronounced dead around 5:15 p.m. An autopsy on the child is expected to be done on Friday.
Police executed a search warrant at the home, and the 27-year-old mother voluntary came into the police department to be interviewed.
After the interview, police say the took the mother in custody after talking with the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
Right now, the prosecutor's office is working on determining whether or not there will be charges against the mom.
