Thirty-seven-year-old Lawrence Borowiak is now charged with two counts of First Degree Murder in the beating deaths of Steven and Cynthia Collins.
Police say it could have been others killed. The victims were found with severe head injuries in their home in Warren on Panama Avenue Friday afternoon.
Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer says the reason why is a mystery.
“They did as much as they could,” Dwyer said of the Collins who helped raise Borowiak as a child and gave him a home until about six months ago.
During a tense Friday evening, Warren Police Investigators found Facebook posts by Borowiak that said, “Y’all bout to meet your maker.”
Dwyer said other family members were possible targets and had to go to safe places.
Borowiak was arrested 6 hours into the case after his suspect information was released by police and someone saw him in Detroit and called 911.
Borowiak faces life without parole if convicted.
