A Meijer store in Sterling Heights is was evacuated Monday night after a "misunderstanding", according to police.
We're told a customer was talking with a clerk outside of the store about global issues and ISIS.
The man had bought a backpack at Meijer and left his old one outside on a bench. A worker brought the backpack to the lost and found and that's what caused the alarm.
Police investigated and found the backpack was just full of papers and gave the all clear.
We're told the shopper will not face charges.
It was originally reported that the customer made a comment about ISIS while arguing with managers over Lunchables, and then threw a backpack over the counter.
