It was a busy day on icy lakes for first responders in Shelby Township.

Four children were rescued from two different lakes in a matter of four hours.

Cell phone video captured the chaos on Crystal Lake in Shelby Township Tuesday night.

Friends tell us a 14-year-boy and his two-year-old sister fell in the icy lake.

Maikel Shaba was on scene, and knew he couldn't stand by.

Shaba told us, "I took off my clothes and jumped in. I tried to do everything I could to get them out."

Just a few hours earlier on Iroquois Lake in Shelby Township, two 15-year-olds fell through the ice, and two officers were there for the rescue.

Dash cam video shows an officer - soaking wet - returning from getting the boys out.

In the cell phone video from the night rescue, you can hear neighbors screaming, "There's a baby in there. There's a baby in the water."

Crews got the brother and sister out of the water, and rushed to the hospital. Their friend says the two were coming over to his house, until he heard the screams.

Ramiz Wardi says, "I heard him screaming my name, and telling me to do something. I called cops right away."
