Two Shelby Township officers came to the rescue of two 15-year olds who fell through the ice on Iroquois Lake in Shelby Township.

Police say one of the boys was able to make it to shore, while the other one was stranded in the water.

One officer walked onto the ice and threw a life ring to the boy, before falling in himself.

That's when the second officer walked on the ice, and pulled the two to safety.

Both boys were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Shelby Township Police released dash camera video of one of the officers rushing to the lake.

Police remind everyone no ice is safe ice and always have life-saving equipment nearby in case of emergency.
