We're getting our first look at new police dash cam video that shows how a high speed chase began on Monday.

Warren police got a 911 call and were on the lookout for a red Jeep Cherokee in connection to a home invasion.

The dash cam video shows an officer spotting it at Common and Dequindre. The Jeep was seen running a red light.

The video also shows the Jeep swerving through traffic along Dequindre and then on to I-696. At times, the Jeep hit speeds over 100 miles an hour.

Warren Police called off the chase for safety reasons.

The suspects continued driving so dangerously on the freeway, Michigan State Police spotted them on a traffic camera. They pursued that Jeep and the high speed chase finally ended with a crash at Telegraph and I-96 in Redford Township.

The Jeep slammed into a Coca Cola truck.

Three guys bailed from the Jeep and took off, but the cops caught up with all of them.

7 Action News was there in court when the suspects were charged with several felonies. Police say 17-year-old John Jones was the one behind the wheel, along with Antonio and Emmanuel DeJesus.

Investigators say the Jeep they were in had been stolen a week ago.
