It's summertime, which means a lot of time spent in and around the pool. On Friday, two mothers are issuing a warning after a 3-year-old boy nearly drowned in a pool.
Aleah Cantrell was having an end-of-the-school-year pool party for her daughter and classmates a few weeks ago, when all of the sudden, 3-year-old Leo wandered in the pool.
"He went in so quickly, no one caught him," Aleah said. So, she jumped in the pool, saving the toddler's life in just 17 seconds.
On Thursday night, she was honored by the Macomb Township Fire Department.
If you're wondering how Leo is doing, his mother says he is just fine, and plans on getting him swimming lessons soon.
