A local father was trying to make it to the hospital before his wife gave birth, but they just didn't make it in time.
"Just before 16 Mile and my wife says 'She's coming out' and two seconds later I hear a baby crying," says David Krysinski.
So Krysinski pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights. His first baby daughter was already out.
"I was scared - didn't know what to do I helped hold the baby up and we just held tight about 15 minutes until help arrived," says Krysinski.
Little Rosalie was born in the family's Chevy Impala. Her twin sister Anna came into the world 7 minutes later in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
It was September 11th - a bright spot on the anniversary of one of America's darkest days.
"I figure it's two new lives that replace thousands we lost," says Krysinski. "Well two of them."
Rosalie and Anna both healthy and doing well, while their story is attracting a lot of attention.
People just say it's crazy, you know that this happened," says Krysinski. "They've never heard of that except in the movies. I've never heard of it either"
David and his wife, Elizabeth, already had two children before the twins arrived. They're trying to come up with enough money to buy a used mini-van.
