A Marine gives his mom a surprise by showing up at her door in Warren.
It's a heartwarming reunion you just have to see.
The tearjerker moment was worth the wait for Sergeant Major Brian Priester.
He hasn't seen him mom, Earlyn Smith, in months.
Priester is a Marine stationed in California.
He's in town to promote Marine Week in Detroit, which kicks off next month,
His mom had no clue he was in Michigan.
She said, "I'm just so happy right now. I don't know what to do. Definitely surprised."
Priester says he's surprised his mom several times before but not with TV crews watching.
"When I come home, I usually don't like to tell her. I usually tell one other person from my family but I would usually call her on the phone and ask her to come to the door," he said.
"This is my baby. He has never surprised me like this. I will never forget this, never," she said.
The timing is perfect because Priester's mom had a medical procedure today, so he's happy to check on her.
Priester will go back to California Friday but he will be back by the end of the month before Marine Week kicks off.
