A 73-year-old man has died after a mobile home caught fire in Bedford Township.
Crews were called to the Northtowne Meadows Mobile Home Community near Telegraph and Stateline Road around 10:20 p.m. Monday.
The mobile home was already engulfed in flames by the time emergency crews arrived. Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff's Department found a 63-year-old woman on the front porch and helped her get to safety.
The woman's husband was still trapped inside.
When firefighters entered the home, they discovered the husband had died. His body was found in the living room.
The woman was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Witnesses reported hearing explosions coming from the mobile home. Firefighters believe the blasts were likely caused by exploding oxygen tanks.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
