An elderly woman missing for parts of two days was found Friday night in a marshy area in Monroe County.
Emergency responders released incredible video of the safe rescue of Mary Fletcher. You can see first responders from Monroe County walking the 83-year-old out of the marshy area in Lasalle Township behind the Lighthouse Harbor Marine.
Investigators tell us Fletcher had been missing since 6:00 pm last night, after she wandered away while visiting family friends in the North Shores neighborhood.
After suspending a search Thursday night, it was another all out effort Friday with several agencies, using helicopters and ATV's in the area.
We're told the 83-year-old somehow found her way in this remote swampy area, trapped in the water by the weeds, mud, and muck.
It was the aviation unit that found her.
She was suffering from the onset of hypothermia. Fletcher was taken to a hospital in Ohio for treatment.
