Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for information relating to the murder of a Tennessee woman visiting Pontiac earlier this year.

According to police, Aniya Edwards, 19, was in Pontiac visiting friends on Aug. 5. Shortly after she arrived, a car slowly drove by, turned back toward her friends and parked. That's when several masked men got out of the car and fired shots toward Aniya and her friends.

She was one of three people shot that night. Police took her to the hospital but she later died.

Aniya's mother, Nekia, as well as her father, step-dad, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend were in town for the event with Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
